United is not the first company to create a peg with a nylon sleeve, and it certainly won't be the last. However, we have taken a close look at the typical alloy/nylon designs on the market and made several key improvements instead of following the crowd.

First, the decision was made to use a heat-treated chromoly inner peg rather than alloy. This choice allows for the use of a thinner material, which reduces weight while increasing strength. It also makes it possible to incorporate a thicker, more durable nylon sleeve, without turning the peg into a bulky, oversized piece.

When it comes to the nylon, not all is created equal. United selected a low-friction, highly abrasion-resistant material with anti-fracture properties, ensuring that these pegs slide longer and wear more slowly than many alternatives. Tested by United's team for over 10 months, and subjected to numerous impacts with a large hammer, these pegs have shown outstanding durability and have yet to fail.
